Meet Dara & Ric Lavallee
Founders and idea extraordinaire's!
Ric Lavallee BSc./NRP/CCEMTP/CP
Ric has followed a varied career path involving working in, and owning, restaurants. His early workings involved designing concepts and partnering in a restaurant in Ladner BC (Vancouver) called Sharkey's. Leaving the industry for High tech, Ric became the Global Director of Sales for a high tech company and product, and gave it all up in his 40's follow a more purpose driven life. In 2005 Ric became a Firefighter/Paramedic. Ric holds a BSc Electronic Engineering, Certifications in Paramedicine, Critical Care Paramedicine and Community Paramedicine. He also has Certification in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutritional Studies, Cornell University.
Ric realised his passion for whole food, plant-based nutrition after working with chronic disease processes in his work as a Paramedic and in the communities he served.. Realizing that we cannot improve community health until we revert our lifestyles back to plant based nutrition void of processed and animal based foods. He decided to create Nourish to offer healthy alternative foods and provide education to manage and control chronic diseases.

Dara has been involved in the foods industry for many decades, starting her career in LA at Chianti's Cuccina, Nickey Blairs and Wolfgang Puck's Mon Maison Restaurant and Cooking School. She has taught culinary arts to adults, middle-school and high-school students.
Dara holds a BSc in Food Science and Nutrition, Chef Certification from Cordon Bleu London, England, Masters in Special Education (UGA) and Certification in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutritional Studies, Cornell University.
Dara developed a passion for whole food, plant-based nutrition through her animal welfare and advocacy concerns along with a desire to help people improve their health.
