Deli/Bakery Team Lead

We are looking for someone who is interested in learning more about the food & health link. You want to do more than lead, bake or cook, you want to learn and grow too.  We want to make health statement and build a community surrounded by the beliefs of being healthy, helping people, environment, and animals.

At Nourish, we are the chief cooks and bottle washers, we do it all, whatever is asked of us, without attitude and with a smile.  We do not have traditional role titles, we have teams who are loving, educators and creating a healthier community. We have a common goal.

The Team Lead will 

  • Participate in business planning by surveying customer demand and making sound business recommendations based on sound business objectives and not anecdotal information. 

  • Meets restaurant financial objectives by balancing sales and expenses.

  • Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, and public and community programs.

  • Controls purchases and inventory by meeting with the account manager.

  • Maintains operations by managing established policies and standard operating procedures, aiming for consistent productivity and quality.

  • Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food service performance, sales and customer satisfaction.

  • Accomplishes human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training the right people.

  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy facility by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the plant-based nutrition market.

  • Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.

 

This position is full-time exempt. We advocate a work, family, health and recreation environment but, this is the hospitality industry. The schedule will include weekends, days, evenings, holidays and extended hours where needed. We operate 7-days/week. The Team lead will accrue combined time off (CTO) for hours worked.

 

Store Team Lead Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of front and back of house operations including food, beverages, retail, staff supervision, inventory, and food safety

  • Strong understanding of cost and labor systems that lead to restaurant profitability

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting

  • Ability to lead and motivate staff.

  • familiarity with the vegan or plant-based markets.

  • Ability to cook, bake and serve.

 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Two years’ experience in a leadership roll with fiscal responsibility.

  • Following a plant based or vegan doctrine with industry knowledge.

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in hospitality industry preferred.

Part-Time Dishwasher/Food Prep Associate

  • We need an individual who can help us keep the operation moving smoothly. This is an important and an ideal entry level position for a person who wants to learn about food prep and baking.

  • Duties include, dish washing, floor cleaning, wiping down display cases, work tables and other surfaces. Will also learn food prep and baking essentials.

  • Being calm under pressure is needed in this job. Stuff, errors, and situations happen.

  • Being able to go with the flow is mandatory. We will not always agree, but we will always respect opinions. We learn best when we are open-minded.

  • Furthermore, we need an individual that focuses on details, supporting each other and the customers.

  • We are Whole Foods, Plant-Based, you don’t have to be, but it is a bonus.We want to make health statement and build a community surrounded by the beliefs of being healthy, helping people, environment, and animals.
