LEAD KITCHEN MANAGER (experienced)

FULL-TIME Wednesday to Sunday

We are looking for a full-time Manager with expierence and able to cook, or adapt to, Plant-Based/Vegan cuisine. You are interested in learning more about the food & health link.  You want to make health statement and build a community surrounded by the beliefs of being healthy, helping people, environment, and animals.

At Nourish, we are the chief cooks and bottle washers, we do it all, whatever is required of us.  We do not have traditional role titles, we have teams who are loving, educators and creating a healthier workplace community.

  • Primary duty is preparing and managing the preparation of quality food with attention to consistency and presentation.

  • Shows up to work when scheduled and gives 110% effort to provide industry gold standard service.

  • Helps meet restaurant financial objectives by preventing food waste and loss.

  • Attracts patrons by presenting good quality foods

  • Provides input into foods, purchases and inventory.

  • Maintains operations by adhering to established policies and standard operating procedures, aiming for consistent productivity and quality.

  • Maintains patron satisfaction by promoting and evaluating, and food service performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy facility by following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by understanding emerging trends in the plant-based nutrition market.

  • Helps accomplish company goals by accepting ownership of performance.

  • Is clean and organized in food preparation and storage

  • Able to constructively manage others to help them achieve their goals.

This position is salary and exempt and participates in the Nourish Deli & Bakery Tip Pool. The schedule can include weekends, days, evenings, holidays and extended hours where needed. We operate Wednesday to Sunday in the Fall and Winter and 7-days/week in the summer.

 

Education and Experience Requirements

Must have:

  • kitchen management experience.

  • fast casual food preparation knowledge. 

  • history of above average job performance.

  • excellent work attendance record

Nice to have:

  • Preference given to a candidate following a plant based or vegan doctrine with industry knowledge.

Kitchen Associate (experienced)

PART-TIME Thursday to Sunday

The Kitchen Associate works with a team of individuals focused on prepping, baking, cooking. This position is primarily responsible for the Fast Casual Food cooking section of the restaurant.

  • Must have experience as a line or short order cook in a fast paced food service establishment 

  • Preference given to a candidate following a plant based or vegan doctrine with industry knowledge.

  • History of above average job performance.

BAKER (experienced)

Flex Shifts Available

 

​We need an individual who has a solid background in commercial baking. Being familiar with Gluten-Free and Plant-Based baking is desirable.

  • Duties include baking various cookies, pies and pastries as well as general cleanup associated with a bakery.

  • Being calm under pressure is needed in this job. Errors, and situations happen.

  • Being able to go with the flow is mandatory. We will not always agree, but we will always respect opinions. We learn best when we are open-minded.

  • Furthermore, we need an individual that focuses on details, supporting each other and the customers.

  • We are Whole Foods, Plant-Based, you don’t have to be, but it is a bonus. We want to make statement and build a community surrounded by the beliefs of being healthy, helping people, environment, and advocacy for animals.
